Blogging with The Marketing Maven

Hey beautiful people,

I just spent the last hour on the phone with Wendy Maynard, the Marketing Maven – www.gomarketingmaven.com, learning about blogging. She is an insightful teacher and a successful and engaging blogger. I am learning so much about the nuts and bolts of how to get AnnieMac out there in the world.

I am finding that there is a fine line between wanting to be as vulnerable and authentic as possible as AnnieMac, and revealing too much of my personal life as Annie McIntyre. As a public figure I want to let you, my audience in, but also save some space for myself. It can be tricky rope to walk in these times of information availability. Fortunately there is a lot to say about music and creativity! Thank you Wendy for teaching me about how to get it out there and heard in the hinterlands of the blogisphere.

All the best,

Annie xox

  1. Hi Annie,

I am so excited to read more of your posts. You have so much creativity and a beautiful way with words. I look forward to getting to know you through your blog – as much or as little as you choose to share. Thanks for the shout out and you are so very welcome!

    Best, Wendy

  2. You are so welcome Wendy. I so appreciate you, and the talents and expertise that you offer the world. Thanks for making it so easy to learn!

    Love

  3. I have been thinking about, but I keep not being able to find your phone number. I just want to give my 2 cents on the theme though. Personal is what engages me, without naming names or putting anyone in an awkward position. Blogs, to me, are not about venting, but about how we deal with themes that emerge in our lives and our creative process in meeting them and moving through them.

Love to you, my beautiful wonder, Julie

    • Hey beauty,

Thanks for your input. This is a new world for me. I love your blogs and the honesty and realness that inhabit every line. I have an old pattern of being careful. I am learning to rebalance it, as I’ve burned myself pretty badly responding with out thinking and hurting the feelings of those I care for. I know that’s not what you’re talking about – I just had to say it.

I plan to be as authentic as possible while refraining from naming names and exposing unnecessary details. Like I said, this is new and most new things I edge into – I feel more careful then I know I will ultimately end up being in the end.

      Lots of love

      Annie xox

      • As always Annie, you inspire me with your courage to “walk on the burning coals” whatever they represent in your life at the time.
